Preparing students for direct entry to Year 2 of a professionally-accredited undergraduate architecture degree at Newcastle University.

On campus and online study options

  • This program is available to study either on campus or online – giving students the flexibility to choose what’s best for them.
  • If your student starts online and is then able to travel to the UK, they’ll be able to transfer to an on-campus program in January or March/April 2022. They’ll need to meet any visa requirements and demonstrate good attendance and performance during their studies online.
  • If your student applies for an Online Extended program, they’ll be offered an Online Academic English plus Online or on-campus academic pathway study plan.
  • Standard Program - 3 Terms Jan/Sep
  • Extended Program - 4 Terms June/Sep

Academic requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of A-levels, a recognised Foundation programme, first year of an overseas university degree programme with good grades, or equivalent. You will be required to provide a portfolio as part of the application. This should document your experiences and the expertise you have gained in previous studies. It should demonstrate a range of core skills and a basic understanding of architecture.

English language entry requirements

  • 3 Terms: IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in writing) or equivalent.
