Academic requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2.5 GPA out of 4.0. Students without background coursework in fashion design may be required to take up to 4 prerequisites to complete the program of study.

English language entry requirements

  • 2 Semesters: TOEFL 65, IELTS 5.5, PTEA 44, IELA 169, Password 6, Completion of Academic English Level 4, or Duolingo 95

  • IDS 405 Reading for Academic Purposes 3 Credits
  • FCS 401 Theories and Contemporary Issues in Family and Consumer Sciences 3 Credits
  • FCS 497 or FCS 329 Introduction to Research Methodology or Apparel Product Analysis 3 Credits
  • Total 12 Credits

Semester 2

  • IDS 401 Advanced Writing for Graduate Students 3 Credits
  • FCS 445 Statistics in Applied Science and Technology 3 Credits
  • FCS 362 or 368 Fashion History or Fashion Promotion 3 Credits
