  • In the 21st century, marketing has transformed into a highly sophisticated process which seeks to understand and address the unique demands of customers and businesses. With the availability of large volumes of data and many varied platforms to promote through, firms of all sizes need a deep appreciation of how to use these to stand out from their competitors. Marketing professionals need a wide range of skills, particularly in the collection, analysis and presentation of data, to successfully meet the highly specific demands of a broad range of consumers.

After gaining an advanced understanding of the external context within which international businesses operate, you will study a broad range of topics including:

  • The internal processes that occur within consumers’ minds and how to choose corresponding marketing strategies
  • Management of internal and external communications aimed at creating a favourable point of view among stakeholders
  • Data analytics for managers, including the technical aspects of collecting and organising data
    Towards the end of your studies you will develop a research report around a topic within global digital marketing that is of particular interest to you. You will conduct first-person research into the topic and create a comprehensive report, demonstrating your new skills in marketing, research and communication.

Entry Requirements

  • We know that many people from non-traditional backgrounds would succeed on our courses! That’s why we offer two different entry routes, taking into account your prior work experience and relevant qualifications. You will also need to meet our English language requirements.
  • Additionally, you will need to pass your first assignment set within your two-week induction period of the course in order to continue with your studies.

Academic entry route

  • In order to satisfy the academic entry route requirements for our MSc Global Digital Marketing, as a minimum you must have an undergraduate degree from an approved institution, equivalent to a UK Honours degree, or a relevant Level 6 professional qualification.

Work experience entry route

  • In order to satisfy the work experience entry route requirements for our MSc Global Digital Marketing, as a minimum you must have at least five years’ relevant work experience in marketing.

English language requirements

  • As our courses are delivered in English, a high proficiency with English is required. If English is not your first language, your English ability should be equivalent to an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5. Don’t worry if you don’t hold an IELTS or equivalent qualification – we offer a free online English test to assess your proficiency.
  • You don’t need to prove your English ability if you are a national of, or have completed a qualification equivalent to a UK degree
  • The MSc Global Digital Marketing is made up of the following modules and, upon completion, is equal to a total of 180 credits at Level 7.

  • Consumer Behaviour in the Digital Age (20 credits)
  • Strategic Online Marketing Management (10 credits)

  • Data Analytics for Managers (20 credits)
  • Research Methods (20 credits)
  • Business and Management Research Report (40 credits)

* These modules are core and must be passed in order to achieve the award.
