Graduate Pathway program offering the academic foundation, essential language skills and GMAT/GRE test preparation to successfully move on to master’s degrees. An INTO Hofstra Graduate Pathway program in Accounting will prepare students to enter their next semester of a master’s degree program at Hofstra University.

Academic requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business with at least two courses in accounting

English language entry requirements

  • 2 Semesters: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 65, Duolingo 95, IELA 169, Password 6, or Completion of AE Level 4.

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business with at least two courses in accounting

English language entry requirements

  • 1 Semester: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 79, Duolingo 120, IELA 176, or Password 8.
  • 30 credit hour program
  • 6-9 credit hours apply from Pathway
  • 21-24 credit hours remaining toward degree

  • ESL 105 Advanced Reading, Writing and Grammar I 3 Credits
  • ESL 106 Advanced Listening, Viewing and Speaking I 3 Credits
  • ACCT 203 Accounting and Financial Reporting 3 Credits
  • BAN 001 Introduction to Business Statistics 3 Credits
  • Total 12 Credits

Semester 2

  • ESL 111 Advanced Reading, Writing and Grammar II 3 Credits
  • ESL 112 Advanced Listening, Viewing and Speaking II 3 Credits
  • ACCT 214 Individual Income Tax 3 Credits

Notes * These courses are generally delivered through the INTO Center and are for Pathway students only.

  • Students without a previous course in statistics will be required to take an undergraduate statistics class or statistics workshop during their first semester.
  • Students who do not have a course equivalent to Hofstra ACCT 203 will have to take it during the first semester of pathway.
