Graduate Pathway program offering the academic foundation, essential language skills and GMAT/GRE test preparation to successfully move on to master’s degrees.
An INTO Illinois State University Graduate Pathway program in Fashion Merchandising will prepare the student to enter their next semester of a master’s degree program at Illinois State University.
  • This sequence within Family and Consumer Sciences prepares students for employment in the forecasting, product development, promotion, distribution, wholesale and retail sectors of the global textile and apparel industries.
  • Students will study the flow of apparel through trend analysis, design and product development, production, marketing, and retail.
  • All students in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences complete an internship or student teach prior to graduation.
  • Students can choose from one- to two-semester Pathway programs.
  • A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university.
  • Students will benefit from fully integrated classes with both domestic and other international students on campus while learning from highly trained university instructors and tutors.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2.5 GPA out of 4.0. Students without background coursework in fashion merchandising may be required to take up to 5 prerequisites to complete the program of study.

English language entry requirements

  • 2 Semesters: TOEFL 65, IELTS 5.5, PTEA 44, IELA 169, Password 6, Completion of Academic English Level 4, or Duolingo 95.
