Access both a broad university experience and the opportunity to specialize in the flexible BBA program. Develop a solid foundation in the first two years, then specialize in one or a combination of majors and minors. Take advantage of co-op, undergraduate research, study abroad and other experiential learning opportunities. Double degree option with Computing Science and Arts available.

  • The BBA (General) is designed to provide students who do not wish to specialize in a specific area of business but instead would like to take a wider array of courses to provide a wide range in their management education.
  • The General BBA is designed for students who do not wish to specialize in a specific area of business, but instead would like to take a wider array of courses to provide greater breadth in their management education. Many positions in business require the varied skills that a generalist can offer, so choosing the General BBA can be a wise choice especially for those students whose interests lie in a number of different areas.

Entry Requirements

Open admission

  • Grade 12 or mature student status
  • Foundations Mathematics 12 or Pre-calculus 12 with minimum C (or equivalent)
  • English Studies 12/English First Peoples 12 with a minimum of 73% (or equivalent)

If you don’t meet the requirements

  • High school graduates can apply and be admitted to this program while upgrading at TRU.
  • Mature students without a high school diploma (or equivalent) can work towards completing their BC High School Graduation Diploma while in this program through TRU courses.
  • Students who do not qualify for mature student status can apply for the TRU University Preparation program to complete their BC High School Graduation Diploma.
  • Students must complete at least 24 credits (normally eight courses) of 3000- or 4000-level business or ECON courses in addition to the core requirements in Years 3 and 4.
  • Business courses include those beginning with the ACCT, BLAW, MIST, ENTR, FNCE, HRMN, IBUS, MKTG, MNGT, ORGB, SCMN, or BUSN acronyms. Students in the double degree in business and computing can also include up to 24 credits of COMP courses.
