This one year postgraduate degree examines the international business world and the financial environment within it.

If you’re interested in a career in accounting on a global scale, this delivers the depth of knowledge you need, with modules covering governance, social responsibility, strategic management accounting, corporate reporting, global audit, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. This course will help build a comprehensive understanding of the financial industry sector so that you are well prepared to enter the financial business world with confidence and the skills that employers are looking for.

  • We also offer the Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) Global Accounting and the Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) Global Accounting for those who are looking to complete a postgraduate qualification, in less than one year. The PG Dip is designed to be undertaken in two terms (6 months) while the PG Cert can be completed in one term (3 months).

UK Entry Requirements

  • Students should possess a UK bachelor’s degree in any subject at 2:2 or above, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Additional note for MSc Global Accounting
  • Your degree must be in a numerate field (e.g. Accounting or Finance, or Business with Accounting or Finance, etc.)
  • Students who have completed F1-F9 of ACCA are also eligible.
  • English language requirements for applicants whose first language is not English
  • An English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. Please see 'Alternative English language qualifications' section below for alternatives to IELTS.

Research Methods and Research Based Output

  • The Research Methods and Professional Development module will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to critically evaluate a business issue of your choice from a specialist perspective. You will learn how to utilise the necessary tools for research related activities in a professional environment, and gain the ability to investigate a complex business issue.
