The world today is one of consistent and often rapid change, especially in light of evolving technologies.

Regardless of whether a student is interested in a career in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, management or marketing, the recipe for a successful career in business, government, the not-for-profit sector, or being self-employed, is knowledge and skills. The Department of Business helps students gain the knowledge and develop the skills that will prepare them for managing in the global marketplace. These skills include communication, critical and analytic thinking, teamwork, as well as the specific technical skills and functional knowledge associated with each student’s major. In addition, students are prepared to develop a sense of ethical and social responsibility as well as an appreciation for and the ability to navigate in the context of global and ethnic diversity.
