Get the best of both worlds with this “hybrid” program that offers a combination of theory and production courses. You’ll start using cameras in first year, and be able to pursue what interests you – theory courses in media studies, hands-on courses in film production, as well as courses on social media, PR, and advertising

Degree Requirements
Total courses: forty.
(a) eighteen courses, including CMAF-1010, CMAF-1120, CMAF-2340, CMAF-2750, plus one of CMAF2010, CMAF-2250, CMAF-3340 or CMAF-3750, plus thirteen additional courses, at least two of which must be at the 3000 level or above (excluding CMAF-3990) and at least two of which must be at the 4000 level (excluding CMAF-4990).(Only one of CMAF-4890 or CMAF-4950 may be used to satisfy the 4000 level requirement.);


(b) GART-1500, GART-1510;


(c) two courses from Arts;


(d) two courses from Languages or Science;


(e)two courses from any area of study, excluding Social Sciences;


(f) six courses from any area of study, including Communication, Media and Film;


(g) eight courses from any area of study, excluding Communication, Media and Film.


Courses used to calculate the major average are: All courses taken in the major area of study.
