Graduate Pathway program offering the academic foundation, essential language skills and GMAT/GRE test preparation to successfully move on to master’s degrees.
An INTO Illinois State University Graduate Pathway program in Studio Arts will prepare the student to enter their next semester of a master’s degree program at Illinois State University.

  • Students can choose from 10 areas of specialization, building skills and knowledge towards a highly sophisticated level of work.
  • The College of Art’s extensive visiting artists program introduces students to a wide range of contemporary artists in all disciplines.
  • Graduates of the School of Art take on a variety of careers as artists, curators, designers, educators, critics, scholars, conservators and writers.
  • Students can choose from one- to two-semester Pathway programs.
  • Students are fully admitted to Illinois State provided successful completion of conditional admission criteria at the end of the Pathway and submission of all required admission credentials.
  • A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university.
  • Students will benefit from fully integrated classes with both domestic and other international students on campus while learning from highly trained university instructors and tutors.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2.3 GPA out of 4.0. Statement addressing ideas central to your current work and intentions for graduate study, as well as your studio discipline; 5-page sample of your academic writing; Image list of artworks in your digital portfolio (PDF file). For each artwork in your digital portfolio, include the following information in a list: file name corresponding to your digital portfolio(s), title, medium, size and date.   • 2 Semesters: TOEFL 65, IELTS 5.5, PTEA 44, IELA 169, Password 6, Completion of Academic English Level 4, or Duolingo 95.
