An INTO Illinois State University Graduate Pathway program in Computer Science with non-CS background will prepare the student to enter their next semester of a master’s degree program at Illinois State University.
  • Degree emphasizes foundational knowledge in computer science and programmatic application of fundamental concepts in leading-edge applications
  • Non-background option allows students with no experience in computer sciences to receive a Master’s degree in as little as three years
  • Graduate Pathway option does not require GRE/GMAT examination for entry or progression to degree

  • This is an example schedule based on a student who needs to take all 7 possible pre-requisite foundation courses. Students with previous coursework in computer sciences may not have to take all prerequisite courses. Students also may take placement tests during orientation and place out of some of these courses. Class schedules will be built based on each student's course background. Students who need all 7 prerequisite courses may need to take 2-3 additional courses after progression to the degree. Once all
    prerequisites are completed, there are 33 credits in the computer science master's degree.
