International Year One allows students to begin earning credits toward their degree even if they don’t meet the academic and English requirements for direct entry. International Year One in Design, Apparel and Merchandising Management will prepare students to enter their next term of a bachelor's degree program at Oregon State University.
Students who choose Design and Innovation Management will pick one of three options available under the major: apparel design, interior design and design management.
This field offers a wide variety of career opportunities with retailers, manufacturers, marketing research firms and product information services.
Students can choose from three- to four-term Pathway programs.
Students are fully admitted to OSU provided successful completion of conditional admission criteria at the end of the Pathway and submission of all required admission credentials.
A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university.
Students are guaranteed progression to an undergraduate degree program through a curriculum consisting of credit-earning courses.
Students will benefit from fully integrated classes with both domestic and other international students on campus while learning from highly trained university instructors and tutors.
