Graduate Pathway program offering the academic foundation, essential language skills and GMAT/GRE test preparation to successfully move on to master’s degrees.
An INTO Illinois State University Graduate Pathway program in Nutrition will prepare the student to enter their next semester of master’s degree program at Illinois State University.

  • The FND graduate option is best suited for registered dietitians seeking a master's degree or individuals with a bachelor's degree who want to become eligible for an ACEND-accredited dietetic internship, the next step in becoming a registered dietitan (R.D.).
  • Illinois State University Didactic Program in Dietetics is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Students can choose from one- to two-semester Pathway programs.
  • Students are fully admitted to Illinois State provided successful completion of conditional admission criteria at the end of the Pathway and submission of all required admission credentials.
  • A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university.
  • Students will benefit from fully integrated classes with both domestic and other international students on campus while learning from highly trained university instructors and tutors.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Food, Nutrition, Dietetics or related field with 2.5 GPA out of 4.0. Students without a background in food, nutrition or dietetics can apply but will have to complete up to 3 prerequisites as part of the Pathway program.

English language entry requirements

  • 2 Semesters: TOEFL 65, IELTS 5.5, PTEA 44, IELA 169, Password 6, Completion of Academic English Level 4, or Duolingo 95.

  • This program leads to a master's in Nutrition. Students cannot become registered dietitians in the US with this program.
