The nutrition and dietetics program aims to improve health and the treatment of diseases, to provide the treatment of diseases, to offer information regarding adequate nutrition in societies, and to make valuable social contributions through conducting research in these fields.
The students in this program involve in theoretical and practical courses to increase their knowledge through doing projects and taking part in different workshops and internship programs held within the university or in cooperation with other universities and institutions. Clinical internship programs are held in pediatric hospitals as well as private or university-state hospitals. Successfully completing the program, the students receive the title of “Dietitian” with a “Nutrition and Dietetics Graduate Diploma”.

Dietitian is considered a health profession. Therefore, the students are trained to improve their knowledge and skills to successfully overcome health-related problems and issues through individual and team-work efforts. Within the first stage of the program, the students learn to implement their theoretical knowledge in nutrition principles, anthropometry, food chemistry, and microbiology laboratories. Moreover, students are required to participate in health internships to practice dealing with nutritional problems of the society and the solutions to increase the knowledge of the community members about nutrition and nutritional issues. They also have the opportunity to take part in internships in hospitals to become familiar with both adult and child nutrition systems.

Receiving the “Nutrition and Dietetics Graduate Diploma” at the end of the program, our students have the opportunity to work as a dietitian. There has been a growing need in the market for dietitians to help societies to maintain the lifelong health of their members, increase the quality of life, and treat health problems. Our graduate dietitians will find the chance to work in different sectors such as private and public hospitals, health centers and clinics, special diet policlinics, and public health service centers. They can also work in food factories and the food industry, hotels, as well as sports centers, or find the opportunity to work as therapists and rehabilitates in educational and research organizations.
