1 Years On Campus Undergraduate Foundation Programme

Leads to Year 1 of an undergraduate degree.
Preparing students for direct entry to Year 1 of an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy at The University of Manchester.

On campus and online study options

  • This program is available to study either on campus or online – giving students the flexibility to choose what’s best for them.
  • If your student starts online and is then able to travel to the UK, they’ll be able to transfer to an on-campus program in January or March/April 2022. They’ll need to meet any visa requirements and demonstrate good attendance and performance during their studies online.
  • If your student applies for an Online Extended program, they’ll be offered an Online Academic English plus Online or on-campus academic pathway study plan.

Key information

  • Gain practical experience through laboratory work in the University’s fully equipped science labs.
  • Practise academic writing skills, particularly relating to laboratory reports.
  • Meet final year students and admissions tutors at an open afternoon.
  • Benefit from specialist labs and a dispensing suite when you progress to MPharm (Hons).

Academic requirements

  • Completion of 12 years of schooling (or local equivalent to meet the same standard) with good grades.

English language entry requirements

  • 3 Terms: IELTS 6.0 (with a maximum of one subskill at 5.5 and all others at 6.0 or above) or equivalent

Additional information

  • If you have achieved the minimum IELTS score overall but do not have the required score in writing for direct entry, you will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
