Humber’s Addictions and Mental Health graduate certificate program will empower you with the knowledge and skills you need for a rewarding career. Learn to deliver responsive, culturally relevant, client-centered assessment and support services to diverse individuals and groups. Practise ways to effectively collaborate and transform lives as a valuable part of professional support teams.
  • You will acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required by employers to deliver effective services to people with addictions and mental health concerns, while promoting empowerment, self-determination and optimal quality of life.
  • The curriculum examines social determinants of health, recovery principles, empowering practices, and trauma-informed approaches, ensuring graduates are prepared for the workforce.

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must meet all the requirements below in order to meet minimum program eligibility. Meeting minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee an offer of admission. Admission decisions will be available via MyHumber, or by email and mail. Admission decisions will not be released by phone.

Academic

To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree

English Language Proficiency

  • All applicants whose first language is not English must meet Humber’s English Language Proficiency Policy.

International Credit Evaluation

  • Canadian citizens or permanent residents with international education are required to provide a WES or ICAS evaluation
