Audiology

The Audiology program at Near East University (NEU) is a four-year undergraduate degree designed to train professionals in the science of hearing, balance, and communication disorders. It combines a strong theoretical foundation in anatomy, physiology, acoustics, and psychology with extensive clinical practice in diagnostic audiology, pediatric audiology, hearing aid technology, and cochlear implants. Students begin with core courses in medical sciences and communication, gradually progressing to specialized modules such as vestibular system disorders, neuroaudiology, and advanced rehabilitation techniques. Throughout the program, internships and clinical placements ensure hands-on experience in hospitals and rehabilitation centers. By the final year, students engage in professional practice, ethics, and a thesis project, preparing them for careers in healthcare, education, and research. The curriculum is structured under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), ensuring international recognition and mobility for graduates.
