The BA (Hons) American History at the University of East Anglia invites you to explore the complex and compelling narrative of the United States, from its colonial beginnings to its global influence today. This full-time, on-campus programme is structured over four years, allowing you to delve deeply into topics such as the politics of American visual culture, the Civil Rights Movement, and U.S. foreign relations. In your third year, you will have the transformative experience of studying abroad, either for a full academic year in America or Canada, or a semester in Australia or New Zealand, before returning for your final year of focused study and dissertation work.
