Program Overview

This program prepares students for a career as an educational assistant. Level 1 introduces foundational concepts including college reading and writing skills, the role of an educational assistant, student growth and development, and an introduction to exceptionalities. Students will also learn about workplace safety and begin to understand the practical aspects of educational support. Level 2 builds upon these skills with professional communication, principles of learning, and a deeper dive into the exceptional learner, culminating in a field placement.
