The Master of Science in Business Analytics is an applied programme that provides learners with advanced specialised technical and research skills, as well as competencies in business analytics. Business analytics is the repeated examination of an organisation’s data with an emphasis on using statistical analytical tools and techniques to uncover insights to support innovation, decision-making and overall success in assessing and enhancing the performance of vital operations.
Students will be able to lead and implement appropriate analytics solutions to inform decisions in a business environment on complex management, technical and functional areas relating to organisations, products, processes, and services. Students will learn about a range of topics, including: business intelligence, responsible AI, database management for business analytics, data visualisation, and emerging technologies.
As a Level 9 MSc, we have included a 30 ECTS Applied Project. This Applied Project provides an opportunity for MSc Business Analytics students to undertake an independent research project to address current industry needs for innovative business. The project focuses on applying business analytics concepts, techniques, tools, and strategies to solve real-world challenges faced by businesses today. The aim is to produce a comprehensive research report that demonstrates the student’s ability to apply academic knowledge and analytical skills and delivers insights /solutions relevant to the business/ enterprise sector.
