Course Overview

The fact that Public Relations operates by making use of disciplines such as psychology, sociology, anthropology and communication gives the department an interdisciplinary character. The fact that it benefits from so many disciplines increases the importance of public relations and makes public relations education more comprehensive. In the first years, it is aimed to improve the general culture of the students of the department by focusing on courses aimed at gaining social sciences formation. Since the last semesters in the program include applied courses related to the field intensively, the students of the department have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired. After the first year, students take an increasing number of elective courses and have the chance to improve themselves in the fields they are interested in.

The Department of Public Relations and Publicity was established to provide a trained workforce in this field for the private and public sectors and to conduct research.
