Eastern Mediterranean University is accredited by the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YÖDAK) and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Turkey.

International students are not permitted to stay back to work or look for work after graduating from Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus.

International students at Eastern Mediterranean University can work up to 24 hours per week in Northern Cyprus. A separate work permit is required. International students must wait for their student permit and then obtain a work permit to work; and are restricted from working in the entertainment industry.
